Fall is here…..
More than a month has passed since we posted the last blog. And as always – we had been busy. The upstairs is finished (except for the Master Bathroom which will be done this weekend) and Robert has already moved upstairs.
The rooms look very nice, I love the painted walls which I think look very different to what you normally see. Very contemporary, though still classy. We love it! The Master Suite upstairs has it’s carpet now and looks very comfy and nice. We still have to work on the window treatments which are only temporary right now to keep the sun out, so that the rooms don’t get too warm.
The kitchen and dining room areas are mudded, textured and primed. It was a great mess with the drywall dust all over the house although we tried to cover up the entry ways with plastic. Next step will be to level out the floors and to put the wonderboard down before we start tiling. We haven’t decided yet what kind of color we will put on the walls, I am still trying to wake up my creativity in regards of that paint job. But so far everything looks very nice and airy, the structural features that Robert had put in a few months ago, now really pop out.
We are glad that the mess is over now for the most part and that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We still can’t believe what we pulled off in 9 months – back in these days we would have never thought that we would come that far. Makes us pretty proud. But here again, we have to thank our contractor Robert, who made all that possible and pushed us forward – mentally and physically. Thanks, buddy – you are great!!!
